Data Science Week 2018:
Intelligent Systems via Cloud
Wunderlich Analytics hold their Data Science Week for the second time, which will take place from February 28th through March 2nd this year in Halberstadt/Harz. This analytics event focuses on the development of adaptive microservices. These are not only meant to score data and forecast trends, but at the same time, they shall be able to learn autonomously from the operation of provided data and to adapt the internal models to new correlations on a continuing basis. Thus, genuine intelligent and self-learning systems are generated in the cloud.
Score models are applied wherever dependencies and significances can be spotted in parameters and combined to a score value in the course of data set analysis. Subsequently, new data sets may be subjected to this identified model and sorted by ranking without the need for another analysis. In the industrial sector, for instance, this can be used to predict machinery maintenance. In the CRM sector, the forecast of the Next Best Activity in customer contact or the appliance of Customer Lifetime Value models can positively generate additional value.
To spare companies the time-consuming procedure of having to develop a scoring infrastructure for themselves or of having to rearrange it to fit each new product, cloud-operated microservices offer a clever alternative. They allow for an easy access to this technology as well as for ideal scaling in operation. Data transmission is carried out in a completely anonymized manner and complies, therefore, with the new EU-GDPR.
During the Data Science Week's hackathon, prototypes of intelligent systems in the cloud will be developed. These include:
- development of score models for predictive maintenance or CRM appliances
- setup of microservices for scoring from the cloud
- forecast tracking and re-calibration of the score models
We look forward to an innovative, exciting and productive event!
